                 MY Pet Bee

 I had delicious morning tea.

I looked up and saw a,                                                                                  funny tree.

The leaf from the funny tree,

landed on my knee.

I saw a bee on the leaf.

I stood up and walked another way.

  I noticed the bee was,

  following me.

I wanted it to go away.

I saw that its wings was gray.

I did not know if it,

would stay.

I took the bee home.

It was the only bug I,

would get.

It was my first ever pet.

My mum said it looked like,

a jet.

She also said we should,

take it to the pet vet.

I said no.

She said okay but I had,

to take good care of it.

So I did.

I hope we will never get split.

Compare And Contrast

 My Reflection

I am learning to find out facts about the Saddle Back and also Blackbird.
I found this task hard because I couldn't find the similarities for both birds.
My next step is to try to find way more similarities and try to not to add the simarlar facts for each birds.

Information Report

Reflection

I am learning to do a information report and to give information.
I was able to finds facts about Palmerston North and I got to learn a lot about Palmerston North.
I found it easy because all I had to do was search about Palmerston North.
My next step is to try get more interesting information and to try make my conclusion more longer.

Converting Fractions.

Reflection: 

I was learning to convert a improper faction to the mixed fractions.

I had to add and times the improper factions and convert it to the mixed fraction.

I thought it was easy because all I had to do was add and times the improper fraction and then show how I worked it out.

I chose to share my learning by creating a a blog post and by sharing my ideas.

My next step is to try do harder ones and to try to explain my writing and how I worked it out more easier.

Summarising Information

My Reflection

I have been learning to find and summarise information by choosing the most important information.  I found this interesting because I got to learn why Kate Sheppard was on dollar bill and what important things she did. I also got to learn a lot of facts about Kate Sheppard.   I found summarising the information easy and fun because and our teacher already told us about her and also because I got to learn a lot about Kate Sheppard.   My next step is to find more interesting facts about Kate Sheppard and to find more facts of how Kate Sheppard got on the dollar bill, also I will try to find out more about other New Zealand people that's on the dollar bill.

My Reflection

I wrote about a tiny little pebble. It was hard to think about words that describe the pebble.  Still, I thought of lots of words before I wrote my poem.  I am proud of my poem that I worked very hard on.  The struggle I had was when I ran out of words when I was nearly finished.  I mostly enjoyed the part when I got to choose my anagram.  There was really funny and weird words I got to choose out of.  One of the anagrams I choose was BE PLEB. This photo shows all the poems stuck together. It was lots of fun and I'm very impressed with our work.

Decimal Place Value

My Reflection

I have been learning to understand decimal place value.  It was tricky because I got confused by the decimals for example,the smallest decimal looks like the biggest decimal and the biggest decimal looks like the smallest decimal.  My next step is to try understand decimals properly and try not to get  as confused like right now.

Self Portraits

My Reflection

I am proud of this self portrait that I have worked hard in class. I am happy with it because I improved on my portrait by blending and I have also improved on sketching my art.  I really liked the eye I did because my last one was not as good as the one on this portrait.  My next learning step is to try make the nose a little more wide and to try not to get a lot of mess on my paper.

Summarising

Reflection

I am learning to summarise the text. It was tricky because we had to find our own words. I had to read a few times carefully so I can understand the text.  It was helpful to have a buddy and a teacher so we could come up with different ideas, instead of having to come up with my own ideas. My next learning step is to use what I learnt about summarising and try to do this with other texts.

I am proud of this art which I did at Te Tuhi.
I am very proud of my art because I found out new skills so I improved and it made art better.

My Reflection
 I am learning to write a bio poem.  It was easy because the sheet helped me to remember what words to use.

Parts of a Graph

My Reflection

I am learning to identify the parts of a graph. It was easy because I watched a slide show and I had a good example to refer to. My next learning step is to create a graph with data that I collect.
